WHAT IS THIS PROGRAM Designed for the baseball and softball players in our area, our program is made to analyze your throwing style and bring you to your full potential. Whether you are a local student-athlete looking to play in college or beyond, or you enjoy playing recreationally; we can help! Repetitive use injuries are common in all athletes, but become more prominent in baseball and softball players. Our goal is to prevent injury, and to help those who may have experienced injuries to overcome deficits and return to their best play.
ASSESSMENT Working to break down your throw into multiple phases, a professional physical therapist will analyze your body’s mechanics and help assess your throw to prevent injury and improve it! Our examination will be designed to examine your mobility, strength, and stability. Using knowledge of the musculoskeletal system, we use professional staff to find deficits and design a strengthening and stretching program specific to your needs using a Physical Assessment and personal injury history. Following the Physical assessment, a Video Assessment will be utilized to provide slow motion video of your throw with multiple angles to analyze the entire body in motion. Finally, using new "Mevo Flightscope" technology we will be able to record data such as pitch speed, vertical launch, and the spin rate!
THROWING PERFORMANCE TRAINING/THERAPY Treatment will utilize the information from the assessment, injury history, and our staff experience to develop a comprehensive Training Program.
