What is different at Elite Therapy NY?

Elite Therapy NY employs Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants that are all well trained in the use of manual therapy techniques and targeted therapeutic exercise in order to achieve the best outcome possible for each patient.  We provide this care within a friendly atmosphere that attempts to make each patient feel as though they are part of the Elite family.

Do you have to be an athlete to receive your services?
No, while we do treat a high volume of the area's athletes, that is not all that we treat.  Our physical therapists are board certified in orthopedic and sports physical therapy meaning we are skilled at treating orthopedic conditions throughout the body.  We also have extensive experience treating neurologic conditions including vestibular and balance disorder and other neurological disorders (stroke, MS, etc.).   Please browse our staff pages to look over our qualifications and compare to others in the area.  If you have questions about whether or not Elite Therapy NY may be able to help you, please don't hesitate to call our office at 607-739-1700 or send a message to our contact page.

Are physical therapy treatments covered by health insurance programs?
Elite Therapy NY is in network with a majority of health insurance programs in the region.  Our office staff will gladly provide assistance in determining the amount of coverage you have and whether a copay or co-insurance is part of your individual coverage.

What do I need to bring with me for my first visit?
At your first visit, we ask that you fill out several forms (intake forms) including a patient history, outcome measure, and consent page (certain insurances may require additional paper work to be filled out but our office staff can assist with this information). The evaluation will consist of a lengthy history and physical examination.  The physical examination will typically assess mobility, strength, balance, and neuromuscular status, etc.
The first visit will typically last approximately 1 hour with treatment possibly to begin on the first visit. Often times patients are provided one or more exercises, that they will be required to perform at home.

Who should I contact with billing questions?
If you have questions about your billing, please don't hesitate to contact our office by phone or email.

What will happen once therapy is completed?
Upon discharge, you will be given a home exercise program to further enhance your rehabilitation outcome and prevent the possibility of future re-injury.
